Data Sharing
We are glad that so many people are interested in our work and the data that we have collected. We are open to research collaborations and sharing data with researchers who would like to use our data for their own independent work. If you’re interested in a collaboration or would like to use our data for your own scholarly project, please send us a message using the contact form linked below. In the absence of research collaboration, we do not share our data with independent organizations, international education providers, or other external entities.
Artificial Intelligence
We do not use artificial intelligence (AI) tools for Research Initiative work. Using AI in scholarly work can have significant negative academic integrity and ethical consequences, and as a research team we understand that the actions of one person often reflect negatively on the entire research team. We also recognize that AI relies on resource extraction that disproportionately impacts marginalized communities around the world. This disproportionate impact is in direct contrast to our values and the Research Initiative’s mission. Researchers collaborating on Research Initiative projects who violate this policy will no longer be invited to collaborate with us and will be removed from authorship of any reports, manuscripts, papers, or presentations immediately.
Academic Integrity
The Community College International Education Research Initiative abides by William & Mary’s Honor Code in its academic and scholarly endeavors. Violations of William & Mary’s Honor Code include plagiarism, use of unauthorized materials (including AI), and presentation of false information, among other actions. Please see this website for more information. Researchers collaborating on Research Initiative projects who violate the William & Mary Honor Code will no longer be invited to collaborate with us and will be removed from authorship of any reports, manuscripts, papers, or presentations immediately.
